ORIENT A/B - STANDARD QUALITY
Both grades are not allowing defects such as: mold, insect holes and defects from processing or storage.
* max. 20 -30 % B grade allowed in the same pallet.
‘Orient A’
Admits healthy red hears and healthy knots as follows:
The healthy red heart is on less than 30% -40% of the width. The healthy red heart doesn’t affect the processing qualities of the wood or the durability and the stability of the timber.
All allowed knots are non-penetrating. The healthy knots are accepted under 10 mm diameter. Over this diameter only a single healthy knot is allowed on a length of 2 meters.
‘Orient B’
Admits the healthy red heart over the limits from A grade.
The healthy knots under 20 mm diameter are not taken into account and over this diameter two healthy knots are allowed , one might be penetrating, on a length of 2 meters.
LENGHTS:
- 0,30 - 0,95 m supershort timber
- 1,00 - 1,70 m short timber
- 1,80 - 4,00 m long lumber
- The length measuring is rounded down to 9 cm: on one pallet we may have goods with lengths from 2.00 m, 2.01m…to 2.09 m, but the calculation for all of them is done to a length of 2.00 m.

WIDHTS:
- 10 cm and more, with an average of about 14 -16 cm on the pallet to short and long timber
- 8 cm and more, with an average of about 12 -13 cm on the pallet to supershort timber
The width measurement is rounded to 7 mm in plus (12.6 cm is considered as 12 cm and 12.7 cm is considered 13 cm).
PACKING:
KD: one length on a package.
AD: two – three lengths on a package.
Special Packing (only for KD):
Boards with width of 8 to 9 cm to the whole sorts of lengths.
Boards with widths of 6 and 7 cm only supershort.
